Republic Day of India is a national holiday that is celebrated by Indians every year to honors the date when the constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950. Republic Day History
India accomplished independence from British Raj on 15 August 1947 after the Indian freedom development. Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that divided British India into the two new independent Dominions of the British Commonwealth (later Commonwealth of Nations).

After numerous thoughts and a few alterations, the 308 individuals from the Assembly marked two transcribed duplicates of the record (one each in Hindi and English) on 24 January 1950.
After two days which was on 26 January 1950, it happened all through the entire country. On that day, Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s started his initial term of office as President of the Indian Union. The Constituent Assembly turned into the Parliament of India under the temporary arrangements of the new Constitution

The Indian Republic Day (Delhi) Parade is organized by the Ministry of Defense, it starts from the Rashtrapati Bhavan gates and puts forth India’s defense capabilities, cultural and social heritage, and puts the diversity of the country on the limelight. The festivities in Delhi last for a week with lots of special events and a large parade that highlights each state.
This holiday is a dry day in India when the sale of alcohol is not permitted.
